Roush Service Award

J. Edward Roush Service Award

The late Congressman J. Edward Roush served during the terms of five U.S. Presidents over a period of three decades. During his tenure, Mr. Roush was instrumental in the establishment of the 911 emergency system, funding for flood-control dams in Northeast Indiana, and was actively involved in overseeing NASA and the U.S.’s race for the moon.

Roush’s dedication to the principles of the Democratic Party served as an inspiration to us all. Each year in his honor, the Third District Democratic Committee presents an award in Roush’s name to a volunteer whose donation of time, treasure, or talent to the Democratic Party is deserving of special recognition.
